OUR STORY

Hearth founder Matt Quinlisk started his journey within the Colorado baking world by working as the pastry chef at Moxie Bread Co. in Louisville, where he worked with James Beard Award Outstanding Baker semifinalist Andy Clark.

During his time at Moxie, Matt developed a deep appreciation for sourcing and milling local Rocky Mountain grains, a practice he now brings to Hearth.

After his time at Moxie, Matt spread the goodness of Hearth by selling pastries, bread, and bagels wholesale to the city's best coffee shops and carb-loving customers at local farmers' markets, growing a dedicated fan base along the way.

People are at the heart of everything we do at Hearth. From baking almond croissants at 5 a.m. to crafting oat milk lattes in the afternoon, our team is made up of dedicated and talented people who are equally committed to providing the best pastries, breads, coffee, and experiences to our guests.

    Favorite Destination: Italy and Japan are my solid favorites. However, I love traveling to new places, so I can soak up different cultures and experiences.

    Hometown: Born and raised in the SFV in Los Angeles, California.

    Go-to Hearth Order: I was loyal to our almond croissants until I tried one of our pear danishes and now I dream about them all the time. To drink, I love love love making myself an iced oat vanilla latte with cinnamon.
